NEW "AZEK®" DRIVEWAY GATES

New England Woodworks unveiled their newest product: Solid PVC "AZEK®" clad welded steel frame driveway gates. The gate was shown for the very first time at the North East Chapters AFA Show in Sturbridge, MA on January 19, 2008.

The solid _" thick PVC looks, feels and has the density of softwood and it is paintable.

New England Woodworks has manufactured all their driveway gates out of kiln dried clear grade Western Red Cedar. One of the unique features of the gates is the welded eleven (11) gauge steel frame which is completely concealed inside the cedar. Metal is exposed only for attachment to the special adjustable J-Bolt Post hardware. This hardware is simple & easy to install on wood or steel posts and allows quick gate installations; plus adjustments. The hardware requires an additional 4 «" each side of the gate (for opening size + 10") including 1" swing room in the center.

The sixteen gate designs are available in six standard sizes: 10', 12', 13', 14', 15', & 16' and this is the actual size of the gate itself. The gates typically ship in 30 days.

The gates are identical on both sides and the cedar gates are over 4" thick. The cedar or AZEK® is permanently bonded to the welded steel frame with PL Premium waterproof polyurethane adhesive.

The gates are built to be used with or without auto access controls. Custom gate designs are available per customers' drawings and dimensions and are typically quoted the same day as submitted. Limitations typically are 16' overall width and 90" overall height.

Custom Cedar or solid "AZEK® PVC Columns (sleeves) are also available in fluted, recessed panel or plain design with layered post caps. Lantern Post Caps are also available. The "sleeves" are designed to fit over a full 6" X 6" steel post or pressure treated wood foundation post. Azek®, a solid PVC material, is available as a maintenance free product as an alternate to our pre-sanded ready to finish cedar. Both products may be painted any color desired, and are known for their dimensional stability.
