Bruckman Rubbers Weedseal™ featured on the Bob Vila Show

The Bob Vila Show recently filmed a show featuring a local product. On November 15th, The Bob Vila Show taped a program in Melrose, Massachusetts featuring the Weedseal™ Fence and Border Guard by Bruckman Rubber Co. of Hastings.

The Weedseal™ is designed to prevent vegetation growth under fences.

This product is the first economical solution to vegetation control problems that plague fence owners. Previously few solutions were available. The Weedseal™ replaces expensive manual trimming and eliminates the need for costly, gas powered equipment that pollute our environment. It also stops the need for chemical sterilization that harms other plants, animals and our water supply.

Jack Schreiner, President of Bruckman Rubber Co. was first contacted by a writer for the Bob Vila Show. The writer had heard of The Weedseal and told Schreiner that she thought it was a unique product that served a valuable purpose and thought that it would interest Mr. Vila. Mr. Schreiner sent information about the product. A couple months went by without hearing anything.

On November 7th, the Producer of The Bob Vila Show contacted Schreiner. She asked him to come to Melrose, Massachusetts the next week to tape the segment. Melrose is a suburb of Boston.

Schreiner was on the film site November 15th and 16th. It was fascinating and the entire film crew was great to work with. It is easy to see why The Bob Vila Show has been so popular. He is very genuine and easy to talk to.

The Weedseal™ utilizes scrap tires that are incorporated into a specially designed virgin material that is fiber reinforced. It is only ¼" thick yet extremely durable.
