June 8, 2007 -- Macon MS -- Outdoor Technologies Inc, a leading manufacturer of PVC fence, deck and rail products located in Macon, MS, announced an expansion with the addition of an extrusion facility located in Plant City, FL. "As we evaluated our national customer base and future business opportunities, it became clear to us the need to develop a regional OTI extrusion model. Our Florida fencing sales are rapidly expanding as a result of HZ™ high velocity wind zone fence products introduced last year and with the continuation of escalating freight costs, a regional facility in Florida really offered the best service proposition to our customers. In addition to servicing the state of Florida, the new facility allows us easy access to the I-75 and I-95 corridors which supports our expansion plans in the Southeastern and mid Atlantic markets." Brian Hammerbacher, President of OTI, also added: "We realized the value of a strategic partner and regional extrusion presence in the western market early last year and we're now expanding on that concept on the east coast with the addition of our own 70,000 square foot facility in Plant City. Initially, the facility will be set-up with four co-extrusion lines and a compounding system. Later this year, we will begin extruding fencing profiles, distributing railing RediPak® sections, Liberty™ marine dock and ProCraft™ composite deck products."
