Wilmington, OH – June 2, 2010 – Determined to build on the strong efforts accomplished by his colleague and predecessor, Kevin Brennan, Paul Bizzarri, VP of Innovation at TimberTech, has been named the Composite Lumber Manufacturer Association’s Secretary/Treasurer.

Mr. Bizzarri will provide support and guidance to CLMA staff, particularly in areas of budgeting and membership recruiting. “CLMA members represent a growing building product category,” said Mr. Bizzarri, adding “I am proud to have been elected to serve the CLMA in this capacity and I am excited about the opportunities to grow the association and the industry.”

CLMA members have identified several model and state code issues as the association’s top priorities. Product standards for composite lumber have also been an important focus for the CLMA membership, under the activities of the CLMA Codes and Standards Committee. Because of the work undertaken by the CLMA, the International Codes now contain provisions requiring that composite lumber used in exterior deck systems meet ASTM performance standards.

Bizzarri joined TimberTech as Marketing Manager in 2001 and helped position TimberTech as a category-leading brand through a wide array of advertising and merchandising programs focused on trade and consumer audiences. He was promoted to Director of Marketing in 2003 and then to Vice President of Innovation in 2005.

Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Capital University. He started his career at Cutler-Hammer IDT and remained there for 13 years, holding several progressive positions in engineering and product management within the industrial control market. Prior to joining TimberTech, Paul served as the Marketing Manager for SENCO, a manufacturer of nailers, staplers and fasteners targeted for the residential construction market.
